Based on a 15th century piece in the royal armories, I had a lifesized printout done, took all the weight specs for the original, and matched weight and shape, using information from Peter Johnson to help with balance, finish, and construction, so not only does it look the part, it feels it too. Blade is 5160, mild steel fittings, a hickory handle core wrapped in cotton sailing twine, and then wrapped again in goat leather, it is nimble, it feels good in the hand while still being grippy and easy to index, and should the need arise you will be more than capable of taking up arms for your lord.
All the steel is carbon steel, so this will rust if not maintained, so give it a light coat of oil from time to time. Does not come with a scabbard, nor does it grant you kinghood when owned, trust me, I’ve tried.
